IMPACT
Over the past 33 years, Concern’s initiatives have positively impacted more than 6.2 million marginalized and underprivileged individuals across 16 states, including Maharashtra, Gujarat, Odisha, Karnataka, Delhi, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana. Our efforts benefit a diverse range of groups, including children, youth, women, and people with disabilities, the elderly, farmers, weavers, and others in both rural and urban settings. We have financially supported over 1,600 NGOs and collaborated with more than 3,000 NGOs, providing financial and non-financial assistance, including a marketplace.

Overall Impact
Concern continues to forge our legacy of social progress that empowers individuals and uplifts the entire community. Concern has implemented projects directly and in partnership with nearly 34 implementation partners through a strategic collaboration that aims to scale and execute ongoing projects, fostering sustainable change. Concern has impacted the lives of 8.9 lac marginalized individuals and communities through our initiatives, ensuring inclusivity and empowerment.

Education Projects Overview
Educational Support and Infrastructure Development:

Our educational initiatives have benefitted 80,945 children, persons with disability & youth. We have renovated 7 Anganwadi Centers and 7 Government Schools, and improved sanitation by building and refurbishing toilets in all these educational facilities. We set up 13 STEM Labs in Delhi, Bangalore, Pune, and Telangana schools. Additionally, we provided solar electrification in 7 schools in Maharashtra, promoting sustainable energy use. Solar-powered digital classrooms were installed in 40 schools in the Kadapa aspirational district in Andhra Pradesh.
Scholarship Programs:

A total of 455 (253 girls, 178 boys, 1 Transgender, 23 youth with disability) educational scholarships were awarded to school and college students from underprivileged backgrounds to pursue higher education. Among them are the 66 academically high-performing girl-scholars under our girls' scholarship program, who are assisted from schooling to higher education. Furthermore, 23 of our disability youth scholars are pursuing higher, professional education, demonstrating the transformative power of our support.
Support for People with Disabilities and the Senior Citizens

Through our special support programs, we have reached over 2,190 children, youth, and adults with disabilities through academic support, skill, and vocational training as well as over 511 Senior Citizens, ensuring they receive day-care support, medical facilities, and resources.

Association for people with visual disability: The building in Worli, Mumbai, was renovated and now features a 37 (kilowatt) solar installation, providing electricity to the entire institute. The association is a 45-year-old organization working with blindness, low vision, deaf-blind, and multi-disabled, through quality inclusive education, rights, equal opportunities, and inclusion in other aspects of life. Persons with disabilities are provided services and programs such as education, employment, rehabilitation, and social integration.

Health Projects Overview
Concern continues its commitment to enhance healthcare infrastructure and accessibility to underserved areas & populations. Our health projects have impacted the lives of 595,331 people.
Health Support and Infrastructure Development:

Four Primary Healthcare Center (PHCs) were repaired, renovated, refurbished, and supported with solar electrification. Two additional PHCs were powered with solar electrification and equipped with solar water heaters. Three TRAX and 1 Type 2 Ambulance were donated to PHCs and one district hospital. One district hospital and four PHCs received medical and non-medical equipment. Through this support health care accessibility is increased for 5.9 lac people

We implemented the Community Health Program in nine villages of Telangana, benefiting over 4600 people in collaboration with the local PHC. Community health camps, follow-up of pregnant mothers, screening for NCDs, and training of health care workers and volunteers were undertaken along with the PHC.

Community Development Initiatives Overview
Our community development initiatives, focusing on natural resource management, livelihoods, women empowerment, and general community support, have benefited 204,557 individuals. These efforts have reached over 103 villages and 52 slum pockets. These initiatives underscore our commitment to sustainable community development, improving livelihoods, and empowering individuals across various regions.

Support for Farmers: We have supported 991 farmers through various interventions such as sustainable farming, access to water, and improving livelihoods.

Women Empowerment: A total of 1747 women were provided with various livelihood opportunities, including beekeeping, aquaculture coupled with pond repair, tailoring units, beautician training, driving, small business support, raw materials for weavers, promotion of animal husbandry, cultivation of cash crops, the establishment of kitchen gardens, and adoption of improved agricultural practices. 187 self-help groups were trained to foster entrepreneurship. 260 women started their businesses with the assistance of government loans. A total of 6506 women have been reached through various initiatives under health and community development.

Skilling Youth: 458 were trained in motor winding, computers, and customer relation management, and 70% are employed in the skills taught. A total of 1486 youth have been reached through education, skilling, and other community interventions.

Water Conservation: We renovated and Desilted eight tanks/ponds across Odisha, Telangana, and Karnataka. In Odisha, five ponds were further promoted as livelihoods in aquaculture benefiting over 75 fishermen from five villages. In Telangana and Karnataka, the tanks primarily serve conservation purposes, aimed at increasing the groundwater table, supporting over 10 villages and 18,793 people directly.

Mangrove Restoration and Climate Change Mitigation: We have successfully restored 150 hectares of degraded mangrove land, planting 360,000 mangrove saplings in Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. This restoration will directly benefit 6,378 local villagers. Mangroves are vital in the fight against climate change as they absorb large amounts of carbon dioxide, protect coastlines from erosion, and support diverse ecosystems. Our project not only improves local environments and livelihoods but also has the potential to contribute to global climate resilience over time.

Tree Plantation: In addition to the 3.6 lac mangrove plantation, through our various employee engagement programs with over 4200 employees we have planted around 10,000 plants under the tree plantation initiatives.
